Stichting het Levende Dorp heeft ten doel het eerste levende dorp van de wereld te bouwen, waarin de huizen gebouwd zijn van levende bomen. Om daarvoor grond, gelden en bewoners te vinden, organiseren wij het benefietevenement The Living Village Festival, dit jaar met het thema ‘Gathering of the Tribes'. Het vijfdaagse festival dat in juni plaatsvindt, is gericht op zelfvoorzienendheid, milieueducatie, innovatie, homeschooling, samenleving, samenwerking, kunsten en ambachten, theater, muziek en spiritualiteit.
